  Abstract:  

The Na10[(UO2)2(H2O)2X2W20O70]∙nH2O heteropolyoxo-metalates (Na101: X =SbIII, n = 28; Na102: X =BiIII, n = 34) were synthesized and investigated by chemical and thermal analysis, FT- IR, Raman, UV-Vis and fluorescence emission spectroscopies for determining subsequently the behavior of the encapsulated uranyl cations, their coordination by the tungstoantimonate(III) or tungstobismutate(III) fragments, and the corresponding pentagonal-bipyramidal local symmetry. Polyoxoanions [(UO2)2(H2O)2X2W20O70]10- are structural similarly and consist from two b-B-[XW9O33]9- (X= SbIII, BiIII) framework which are linked by an equatorial belt of two UO2(H2O)22+ units and two WO2 groups.
